I always hate writing introductions as I always forget something or fear that I'll get off on the wrong foot. For me, introductions are a little bit like driving; I typically screw up exiting the driveway, try to drive like I'm in Britain, then push the van to the right side of the road and it is smooth going from there...more or less. However, practice makes perfect and by the time I take my road test I'll have perfected the maneuver of getting out of my ridiculous driveway and will have no trouble at all. Likewise (hopefully) with this blog.
Right, so I am Frances, 5'6" and a quarter, female, illustrator, technical design artist, photographer, digital artist who loves music, mechanics, and interesting cinematography. To describe me you could probably be safe using the terms "gear head" and "nerd" in the same sentence. My current projects are getting portfolios in order, a large orthographic projection for a design project, my business ObscureGems (co-owned with my mother, Nancy), a little freelancing, and this blog. I travel a bit, averaging at least one medium sized trip per year, and aim to get to Europe within the next four years. The town I currently reside in has a higher population of cows than people, and yes, it is in New York.
