From the Back of a Van and Other Places

I'm writing from the somewhat comfortable bucket seat of the van rather than from the slanted desk, but a change of scenery usually doesn't hurt. So while the world passes by at 50 miles an hour I am sitting nice and cozy. The autumn colors are coming out on the leaves and as it hasn't been quite so windy this year, maybe they'll stick around a little longer.

Right, so I've been reflecting a bit about the end of 2013, which is approaching at an alarming rate. It has been a good year across the board in my opinion, in just about every artistic venture (I won't say everywhere because of a particular incident in government that I refuse to give my time to) including music, vehicle design, and art. We've had the discovery of a Van Gogh, release of some brilliant albums like Sirenia's Perils of the Deep Blue, Alice in Chains' The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, Tarja's Colours in the Dark, and countless others, The creation of Lamborghini's Sesto Elemento (concept unveiled in...'10 I think), and in general some really exciting advances in the creative realm.

It makes me excited to join the creative forces of the world when I see all that is going on. As it is I have a finished portfolio that I am constantly improving, some neat ideas that I want to work on, and today I am visiting another college somewhat nearer to home. The weather is changing, colors are getting brighter before fading away, and I think good things are happening...

I'm still not really at the slanted desk as it has several sketchbooks piled on top of it however I am sitting on a comfy couch at the end of a decent day. Really, this post has little educational value to it, however it has a little bit of musing. I'll update soon with something more exciting, informative, and overall more enjoyable.
