First off, Happy Easter! I hope you all are enjoying your day and spending it with those you care about. I've already eaten more than I probably should have, but that's okay because technically I'm still on holiday from school, haha.
I found this great little post on Breanna Rose's blog and decided to share it here. I think slowing down and finding our personal present moment is an incredibly important and undervalued exercise in today's day and age. Far too often we are swept up in the commotion of life and forget to take a breath, remind ourselves of what is good in our lives, and recenter ourselves.
So, this is what I've been up to lately which is a little insight and oddly refreshing to do.
COOKING kielbasi and ham.
DRINKING a bunch of teas! My mum is sick and I don't want to catch it.
READING my well thumbed through version of Top Gear (it's from January)
WANTING warm weather, a seat on the beach, a nice glass of sweet tea.
LOOKING at my lazy dog and too curious cat.
PLAYING The Walking Dead video game (again, hehe)
WASTING time worrying about my portfolio (just do it Frances!)
SEWING nothing, though I should be fixing my jeans.
WISHING I could go back to the ocean.
ENJOYING my family, now that I know I only have a few more months with them.
WAITING for school to finish!
LIKING the amount of inspiration I've been having
WONDERING why my fish like to watch James Bond with me
LOVING being alive.
HOPING to create more happiness in this world.
MARVELING at the night sky
NEEDING an excuse to take Monday off of school.
SMELLING babkas.
WEARING Jeans, a grey shirt, and a burgundy button down.
FOLLOWING the road to tomorrow.
NOTICING my cat's extremely orange eyes.
KNOWING that adventures are fun to take.
THINKING that I love my parents and animals, and I'm looking forwards to Easter dinner.
BOOKMARKING Sonata Arctica tickets, a camera, and urls I'm too lazy to type in.
OPENING candy wrappers.
GIGGLING at Mel Brooks movies
FEELING content.
